Packing	Celluloid (seasoned), films and other articles made of celluloid must be packed in soldered tin boxes enclosed in strong wooden boxes.

Import Licences	Except for a few commodities, goods manufactured in Western Europe and all G.A.T.T. countries are admitted into Malawi under open general licence. A short list of goods manufactured in Japan and Czech and Slovak is also restricted. Goods from all other sources require individual licences. Senders are advised to confirm before posting that the addressee is in possession of the necessary licence.
Invoices	For delivery purposes, it is desirable that each commercial parcel bears a consecutive number and that such number(s) be shown on the invoices. Invoices and Certificate of Origin should be attached to parcels (or to the highest numbered parcel where a consignment consists of more than one) in an envelope clearly marked INVOICES.
Packing	Waterproof covers should be used for parcels for places not on the railway especially during October to May inclusive.
Address	A parcel intended for delivery through a bank should bear the address of the bank only. The name of the ultimate consignee, but not his address, should be entered in brackets under the name and address of the bank.
Delivery	Addressees are notified of arrival of parcels and are required to arrange for their collection.

Restrictions¹	Restrictions apply to the importation of certain foodstuffs, fats and oils; intoxicating liquors; toy pistols; lubricating oil; gold (including raw, smelted or manufactured gold, gold bullion or gold coin and articles made wholly or partly of gold), diamonds and diamond-set jewellery, all of which may not be imported except under licence issued by or on behalf of the Comptroller of Customs, Peninsular Malaysia. In addition the importation of certain plants and parts of plants, grains and seeds is subject to a written permit issued by the Director of Agriculture, Kuala Lumpur. Such parcels, if sent by air, must be addressed to the consignee c/o the Director of Agriculture, Kuala Lumpur. In respect of Sabah and Sarawak the same condition applies and permission must be sought from the respective states. SIRIM permit is required for any devices that come with function of Bluetooth/WIFI or both.
Packing and Marking	Parcels containing non-inflammable films must bear a white label clearly marked in black with the words "FILMS - NON-INFLAMMABLE".

Import Licences / Taxes	Import licences are required for parcels valued at more than 1,000 Mexican pesos and gifts should not be sent unless the sender is assured that the addressee has obtained an import permit, if required, and is willing to pay the customs duties and other charges involved. Importation of the following items must, however, be covered by import licence: Wine or other alcoholic drinks; plastic articles; waste paper or cardboard; other waste or raw materials used in the manufacture of paper; food supplements. Postal items containing merchandise with a declared value of over 50 USD will be subject to the payment of import taxes as determined by the customs authority.
Invoices	Two copies of the commercial invoice duly translated into Spanish to be inserted in parcels. Addressees will be fined if these documents are missing.
Gift Parcels	Gifts are not granted any special privileges or exemptions and are subject to normal duties and other charges. Any parcels received without an invoice will be returned to the sender to avoid having to impose fine on the addressee.
Packing	Straw hats and similar articles are accepted only if packed in strong wooden or metal cases.
Address	Every parcel addressed to a bank or other Agent of the person for whom it is intended must bear both on the wrapper and customs declarations the full name and address of the ultimate consignee as well as the Agent's name and address.

Restrictions¹	Cancelled or non-cancelled stamps are admitted only as part of an organised philatelic exchange; medicines and vitamins are only admitted on authorisation of the Records Offices for Medicines and Pharmaceutical Products; seeds and plants require authorisation of the State Inspectorate for Quarantine of the Agricultural and Industrial Commission of Moldova. Printed papers are admitted provided they do not contain printed material prejudicial to Moldova, pornographic, obscene or erotic material. Ordinary and registered letters must only contain private written messages, documents, receipts, invoices, accounts and private photographs.
Address¹	To facilitate delivery of trackable postal items (e.g. registered items), it is advised that the recipient’s mobile telephone number (if available) be included in the address. Customs Duty	The maximum value for customs duty exemption on goods imported into Moldova in international postal items are as follows: B2C – business-to-consumer: 200 EUR B2B – business-to-business: 100 EUR C2C – consumer-to-consumer: 430 EUR for items sent by airmail 300 EUR for items sent by surface mail C2B – consumer-to-business: 100 EUR These values represent the actual value of the goods, and do not include the transport or insurance costs, nor the loading, unloading or transhipment fees of those goods. Inherited goods originating from abroad are allowed into Moldova, free of customs duty, if certificates are received from foreign consulates as regards the right of inheritance and the composition of the legacy. Documents issued by foreign authorities or public bodies should be stamp by a consul of Moldova. Articles or parts of articles sent to Moldova for repairs or replacement are admitted free of customs duty, if a written declaration from the sender is inserted in the parcel.
Import Permits and Invoices	Postal articles sent to state institutions and cooperatives, containing items of commercial value are admitted subject to an import permit issued by the Ministry for Foreign Trade of Moldova. Invoices must accompany postal articles with a commercial value, which are delivered on presentation of the appropriate import permits and payment of customs duty.
Address¹	To facilitate delivery of parcels, it is advised that the recipient’s mobile telephone number (if available) be included in the address. An SMS notification will be sent to the addressee of the arrival of his/her parcel bearing valid mobile phone number.

Such articles shall be imported against payment of Customs duty and other fees. Items inherited abroad as well as articles provided for in contracts concluded between States may be freely imported in accordance with such contracts. Items addressed to natural persons of Montenegro or foreign nationality, the total equivalent value of which in Euros does not exceed US$30, are exempted from Customs duty; items the total equivalent value of which exceed US$30 do not enjoy this privilege. Natural persons of Montenegro nationality exercising a profession are entitled to import articles serving to exercise that profession (equipment, reproduction material and spare parts); importation will be subject to special conditions. The sender is required to show clearly on the Customs declaration the special entitlement to import items containing articles imported under special conditions and regulations Failing this, the addressee will be required to produce proof before delivery." The importation of coffee in items addressed to private persons is restricted to 5 kg per item. Parcels containing more than 5 kg of coffee will be immediately returned to origin at sender's expense.
