Restrictions1Restrictions apply to the importation of plants, seeds or other propagating material, including the packaging or earth containing them. Used clothing must be accompanied by a disinfection certificate issued by the appropriate authorities.
International Air Transport RestrictionsIn view of Honduras’s air transport restrictions, missent and undeliverable items containing vaporizers, lithium batteries or electrical discharge weapons cannot be forwarded to destination nor returned to origin country.
InvoicesA commercial invoice in respect of each parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time by the same sender to the same addressee showing clearly the nature and actual value of the contents should be sent separately by letter post, addressed to E1 Jefe de la Oficina de Paquetes Postales at the place of destination.
Address
 

Every parcel addressed to a bank or other Agent of the person for whom it is intended should bear, in addition to the Agent's name and address, the name and address of the ultimate consignee. Delivery charges are collected from the addressees.

The words HONDURAS REPUBLIC (in BLOCK CAPITALS) should be included in the address on all mail.

To expedite delivery of parcels, it is desirable that these items bear addressee's complete address, and whenever available, landline and mobile phone number and e-mail address.

Advice of DespatchIn order to prevent delay after arrival in Honduras, it is advisable to notify the addressee separately by letter that a parcel has been sent, so that he may keep in touch with the local Examiner of Postal Parcels.

Restrictions1Restrictions apply to the importation of live bees, leeches and silkworms; all meat and offal; marine animals; dairy produce; bird eggs; natural honey; plants and plant products; agricultural and domestic pesticides; beverages, alcoholic fluids; tobacco; mineral products; narcotics; pharmaceutical products; radioactive materials & irradiating apparatus; acetylating substances; ozone depleting substances; paint, varnish, enamel and similar substances having inflammable point between 36ºC and 66ºC or a flash point between 32ºC and 60ºC ; textiles and textile articles; strategic commodities; radio transmitting equipment; arms and ammunition.

Coins, precious stones, jewellery and objects of gold, silver and platinum and other valuables must be sent by registered or insured service. However, articles of a total value exceeding HK$2,500 must be sent by insured service.

Import LicencesA licence, to be obtained by the addressees in advance, is required for importation into Hong Kong of certain goods.

To facilitate delivery, it is also desirable to include the addressee’s fixed or mobile telephone number and e-mail address, if available, on the postal items.

HUNGARY (REPUBLIC OF)

 		Printed matters, publications, illustrations and objects suitable for arousing hatred against the Republic of Hungary or other countries, some people, nationalities or races; offending general values, public morals, public decency and human rights; articles of pornographic nature, horror films etc. in quantities intended for distribution; cartridges for gas pistols and self-defending gas-like sprays in the non-foreign trade turnover; means, usable as offensive weapons (knuckle-dusters, spring-knives, rubber truncheons etc.) in the non-foreign trade turnover.

The above-listed kinds of merchandise, incidentally posted in postal parcels are to be destroyed by the Customs Authorities. For private persons, no kind of gambling slot-machines and money-winning slot-machines is allowed through the customs except the television-linked video games. For legal persons, no money-winning slot-machines and good taste offending gambling slot-machines are allowed.
Restrictions1
 		Postal items containing phytosanitary goods (plants or seeds) that originate from outside the EU and are addressed to Hungary must be accompanied by a health certificate. Plants lacking such a certificate are no longer permitted for importation into Hungary or other EU countries. Furthermore, all types of seed require a phytosanitary certificate for import, issued by the country of origin.

The competent authority will accept a phytosanitary certificate only if it fulfils the following requirements:
  • it is issued in at least one of the official languages of the EU;
  • it is addressed to the national plant protection organization of an EU member state; and
  • it has been issued no more than 14 days before the date on which the plants, plant products or other objects covered by it have left the country in which it was issued.
Restrictions apply to the importation of alcohol; articles containing alcohol or nicotine; cocoa beans; spices; wine. For citizens of Hungary, the following merchandises can be cleared in the non-commercial turnover:

Alcoholic drinks: 
  • 1 litre of spirituous liquors and
  • 1 litre of wine and
  • 5 litres of beer
Tobacco products:
  • 500 pieces of cigarettes or
  • 100 pieces of cigars or
  • 500 gr of tobacco
Coffee, tea, cocoa and all kinds of spices and their blends, except red pepper and its blends, 1 - 1 kg.

From other goods
  • up to the individual value of 500 Forints (10 pieces/sorts)
  • up to the individual value of 2,000 Forints (5 pieces/sorts)
  • up to the individual value of 5,000 Forints (2 pieces/sorts)
  • over the individual value of 5,000 Forints (1 piece/sort)
Gift Parcels  (Non-Commercial Papers)
 		Gift parcels may be sent to private persons free of duty provided they are for the personal use of the addressee or members of his family and do not exceed the quantity limits listed above. Medicine may be included in gift parcel provided it is intact and in the manufacturer's original packing. The addressee must prove that he is in need of the quantity sent. Gift parcels which do not comply with Hungarian regulations are liable to be returned to the senders at their expense.
Commercial ParcelsCommercial parcels may be subject to import restrictions, and senders are advised to ascertain from the addressee, before despatching a commercial parcel, whether an import licence is required. A detailed invoice should be enclosed in each parcel.
Commercial InvoicesPostal items containing goods must be accompanied by a commercial invoice in duplicate. Any commercial item(s) sent to private individuals from any business unit should have the relevant invoices(s) attached.
