International Air Transport Restrictions | In view of Honduras’s air transport restrictions, missent and undeliverable items containing vaporizers, lithium batteries or electrical discharge weapons cannot be forwarded to destination nor returned to origin country. |
Invoices | A commercial invoice in respect of each parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time by the same sender to the same addressee showing clearly the nature and actual value of the contents should be sent separately by letter post, addressed to E1 Jefe de la Oficina de Paquetes Postales at the place of destination. |
Address | Every parcel addressed to a bank or other Agent of the person for whom it is intended should bear, in addition to the Agent's name and address, the name and address of the ultimate consignee. Delivery charges are collected from the addressees. To expedite delivery of parcels, it is desirable that these items bear addressee's complete address, and whenever available, landline and mobile phone number and e-mail address. |
Advice of Despatch | In order to prevent delay after arrival in Honduras, it is advisable to notify the addressee separately by letter that a parcel has been sent, so that he may keep in touch with the local Examiner of Postal Parcels. |

Prohibitions1 | Printed matters, publications, illustrations and objects suitable for arousing hatred against the Republic of Hungary or other countries, some people, nationalities or races; offending general values, public morals, public decency and human rights; articles of pornographic nature, horror films etc. in quantities intended for distribution; cartridges for gas pistols and self-defending gas-like sprays in the non-foreign trade turnover; means, usable as offensive weapons (knuckle-dusters, spring-knives, rubber truncheons etc.) in the non-foreign trade turnover. The above-listed kinds of merchandise, incidentally posted in postal parcels are to be destroyed by the Customs Authorities. For private persons, no kind of gambling slot-machines and money-winning slot-machines is allowed through the customs except the television-linked video games. For legal persons, no money-winning slot-machines and good taste offending gambling slot-machines are allowed. |
Restrictions1 | Postal items containing phytosanitary goods (plants or seeds) that originate from outside the EU and are addressed to Hungary must be accompanied by a health certificate. Plants lacking such a certificate are no longer permitted for importation into Hungary or other EU countries. Furthermore, all types of seed require a phytosanitary certificate for import, issued by the country of origin. The competent authority will accept a phytosanitary certificate only if it fulfils the following requirements:

Gift Parcels (Non-Commercial Papers) | Gift parcels may be sent to private persons free of duty provided they are for the personal use of the addressee or members of his family and do not exceed the quantity limits listed above. Medicine may be included in gift parcel provided it is intact and in the manufacturer's original packing. The addressee must prove that he is in need of the quantity sent. Gift parcels which do not comply with Hungarian regulations are liable to be returned to the senders at their expense. |
Commercial Parcels | Commercial parcels may be subject to import restrictions, and senders are advised to ascertain from the addressee, before despatching a commercial parcel, whether an import licence is required. A detailed invoice should be enclosed in each parcel. |
Commercial Invoices | Postal items containing goods must be accompanied by a commercial invoice in duplicate. Any commercial item(s) sent to private individuals from any business unit should have the relevant invoices(s) attached. |
