Poste Italiane has advised that the major Italian unions have announced a 24-hour general strike, commencing on 17 November 2023, involving all production activities with the exception of air traffic. For public transport, the strike will be limited to four hours, as agreed between the unions and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
While mitigation measures will be taken at Poste Italiane facilities, depending on the response to the call to strike, the impact may continue over the weekend and until 21 or 22 November 2023.
