Poste Italiane has advised that heavy rain in the western part of Sicily on 11 and 12 November and since 16 November has led to heavy, widespread floods, landslides and road closures.
Consequently, transport, processing and delivery operations in western Sicily, for both inbound and outbound letter-post and parcel-post items, are likely to be disrupted, and Poste Italiane has declared a situation of force majeure.
