Österreichische Post has advised that due to the current flood situation in Lower Austria and other parts of Austria, restrictions may occur in parcel delivery. The logistics center in Hagenbrunn is particularly affected, as there have been repeated power outages due to the flooding. All necessary measures have been taken to relieve the site and create capacity reserves for the upcoming days.
The current situation is as follows:
- EAST: Unfortunately, the situation is serious in this region. Currently 11 delivery bases are unavailable. However, all other delivery bases will be delivered as usual today and will deliver the parcels, as far as possible.
- CENTER: Necessary adjustments have been made to the delivery of the delivery bases. Also in Styria and Upper Austria some delivery bases are affected.
- WEST: There are no disruptions and coordination with distribution takes place on a regular and/or situational basis.
Please note that restrictions may occur, especially in the east of Austria but also other parts, if individual locations cannot be reached for delivery to the delivery bases or for delivery itself due to flooding.
