The United States Postal Service (USPS) has advised it is declaring a force majeure situation due to the impacts of Hurricane Milton. This natural disaster has resulted in widespread catastrophic flooding and damage in the south-eastern State of Florida.

The USPS declaration of force majeure (in effect until further notice) will cover USPS service and performance obligations for EMS, letter post and parcels to postcode areas in the 32003–34997 range. Recovery and cleanup for the communities in those areas are expected to be lengthy.
