Mauritius Post has advised that Mauritius has been experiencing cyclonic conditions since 26 February 2025 and that a class 3 cyclone warning has been issued by Mauritius Meteorological Services.
As a result, the international airport is temporarily closed and all flights have been cancelled. All economic/business activities have been suspended and all of the island’s post offices and postal facilities are closed.
The transportation and processing of both inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) are affected, and delays are to be expected in the delivery of mail throughout the country.
Hence, Mauritius Post has declared a case of force majeure.
