Luxembourg Post has advised that poor weather has been causing it significant difficulties over the past couple of days, and a red alert was issued on 17 January 2024. In particular:
On Wednesday, 17 January 2024, the import, export, collection and delivery of mail and newspapers was suspended (and delivery of packages was heavily impacted); exchanges with several European cities were also suspended (Trier, Metz, Roissy, Bar-Le-Duc, Frankfurt, Brussels, etc.);
On Thursday, 18 January 2024, there was again heavy snowfall, leading to the suspension of transfers on the Trier–Bettembourg and Metz–Bettembourg routes. Several trucks are blocked (Liège, Brussels, Roissy, etc.)
