An unseasonal storm has hit Iceland resulting in the ring road around the country to be closed in the northern part and south-eastern part of the country. Due to heavy snowing and winds in the northern and eastern part of the country, the roads to this area have been closed since Monday evening making, it impossible to transport mail to that part of the country. The storm is expected to continue into the week.
