The Société Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications (SCPT) has advised that massive floods occurred on 4 May 2023 in Kalehe, in South Kivu province in the east of the country. The flooding resulted in a national tragedy and may affect the collection and delivery of international and domestic mail, thereby impairing the quality of service that SCPT is committed to delivering in accordance with its commitments to the UPU.
