Australia Post has advised that tropical cyclone Alfred is expected to make landfall in Queensland on Thursday, 6 March 2025.
As a result, the Brisbane office of exchange will be closed from midnight (local time) on Wednesday, 5 March, with the aim being to reopen on Friday, 7 March. Information regarding the airport is not yet available.
The collection, processing and delivery of all mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will be affected for postcode areas 4000–4999. Services in northern New South Wales may also be disrupted.
